The Job
- The core elements of this job are to assist with management and execution of daily tasks relevant to a busy equipment auction company.
- Set up and logistics of Consignment and online auctions.

Essential Requirements
To be successful in this role you must be all of the following:
- A machinery enthusiast with an analytical mindset who can plan ahead recognize potential problems and take preemptive action.
- Basic knowledge of modern construction equipment and trucks.
- Experience operating a forklift
- Able to operate a smartphone
- A motivated self starter who can work indepently
- The ability to travel up to a week or two several times per year to assist our team with consignment and online auctions.
- Excellent organization, time management and communication skills.
- Basic computer skills in Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel and Outlook and the ability to search the internet for leads and other necessary information.
- A valid, clean driver's license. A valid class A CDL will be a major factor in determining salery.

- Manage the delivery & transportaion of equipment
- Manage Rental Equipment / Trailer Sales
- Assist with maintence on our auction facilities

Position: Outside Sales Manager

The Job
- The core elements of this job are to secure heavy equipment consignments, fill the auction yard ahead of each consignment auction and to seek out and secure profitable one owner live and online auctions
- Grow your territory through business development skills and maximize consignments using your already established network of contacts in the industry
- Introduce and sell our services to current and future clients through prospective, cold calling and account maintenance.
Essential Requirements
To be successful in this role you must be all of the following:
- A machinery enthusiast with an entrepreneurial nature who can maximize sales from new and existing customers.
- An excellent negotiator with the ability to spot opportunities and the motivation to act on them.
- Experienced in hunting new business opportunities using current and innovative techniques.
- Able to operate a smartphone
- A motivated self starter who can work indepently
- An excellent communicator with a great ability to build relationships and attract Buyers and Sellers to our auctions. he ability to travel up to a week or two several times per year to assist our team with consignment and online auctions.
- A Excellent organization, time management and communication skills.
- Basic computer skills in Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel and Outlook and the ability to search the internet for leads and other necessary information.
- Able to develop a plan to grow new accounts in person and via phone and networking in the field.
- Manage the existing customer list and add new prospects

Additional Requirements
- A proven sales record with minimum 2yrs experience selling Heavy Equipment Trucks or other business related assets.
- The ability to travel 2 to 3 nights per week to cover the territory, as well as up to a week several times per year to assist our team with consignment and online auctions
- Responsible for great follow up on potential client leads, on-going client relations, projects, etc.…
- An already established network of contacts within the industry. You should know everyone and everything there is to know about equipment in your region.
- An excellent knowledge of the current national and global market; you should have your finger on the pulse of what's happening in your territory and further afield.
- A working knowledge of the Auction industry, buying, selling and bid-catching at Auctions.
Other Duties
- Manage the delivery & transportaion of equipment
- Obtains paperwork from consignors (titles, registrations etc.)
- Assist with post-sale conflict resolution
- Pre-auction logistics
- Post Auction equipment removal and checkout
- Write-ups and photography of appraisal items

Position: Advertising & Office Assistant
Start Date: As soon as possible

Hours per week: 40 hrs - Must be willing to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the company.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Research and create content for all of J&J Auctioneers social media channels, as well as planning, designing, editing, implementation and assessment of print, radio, and social media advertisements and marketing.
- Plan, design, proof, print, and prepare auction brochures for mass mailing.
- Coordinate and execute external e-mail newsletters and publications.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive and dedicated advertising schedule for each auction.
- Research target audiences for each auction and compile and maintain contact lists for each target market.
- Collaborate with established vendors to design and order marketing materials.
- Work directly with consignors and buyers throughout the auction process.
- Assist consignors with the consignment process, write-up consignment items using established guidelines, prepare contracts for management review, photograph and video consignment items.
- Provide information to buyers regarding consigned lots as requested, process buyer invoices, collect funds, coordinate item load-out, and title work preparation and processing.
- Establish and maintain filing and record-keeping systems.
- Independently answer routine correspondence. Draft non-routine correspondence for review and approval of management.
- Input data and run reports utilizing a computer to access various software programs and systems.
- Other duties may be assigned.
Other Responsibilities:
- Ability to work a flexible schedule which includes days/evenings/weekends as needed by the department.
- Willingness to travel to various auction sites throughout New Mexico.
Physical Demands:
- Light physical demands - ability to lift up to 25 lbs
- Mostly sedentary
- Extensive use of computers and exposure to multiple computer screens at one time

Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum two-years full-time experience in advertising, communications, marketing, or office administration.
- Excellent writing and editing skills.
- Possess superior organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines.
- Highly proficient with MS Office Word and Excel
- Proficiency in digital and print communication including web page content, social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, and/or other emerging platforms.
